Foster Entertainment serves artists whose work excites us.
We’re passionate about pop culture as live performance. We produce theatre on Broadway and Off and present concerts at venues like Carnegie Hall in New York, and in cities throughout the US and Australia.
Our signature is mashing together genres, artists and venues in new ways–hybrids that combine music, theatre and comedy. We help artists work in ways they usually can’t, like Rufus Wainwright’s Judy Garland concerts, that most people dismissed–until it was a hit.
Practically speaking, we work with artists by acquiring rights, co-producing with them, or simply being a promoter. We bring our systems of management, financing, marketing to develop, present and tour the work that we want to see. We’re a small company and we take on a few projects and focus our attention on them.
Some of our productions have received awards: Kiki and Herb’s Broadway run, which we produced in 2007, was nominated for a Tony Award for Special Theatrical Event. Rufus Wainwright’s Judy Garland concerts, which we produced at Carnegie Hall, the London Palladium, Paris Olympia and Hollywood Bowl, was nominated for a Grammy in 2009. And Slava’s Snowshow won the Drama Desk Award during our Off Broadway run.
